We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to join our highly skilled and dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) team. This role is primarily aimed at individuals with a background in clinical nursing, particularly those with an interest or experience in interventional radiology. We welcome applications from nurses who are passionate about advancing their careers in a supportive and progressive environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the professional development of nursing staff within the Interventional Radiology department, contributing to training, education, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. While the role is primarily based within the IR department, you will also work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical practice and ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver the best possible care.
The IR department at Royal London Hospital undertakes a wide range of complex procedures, includingendovascular, renal, hepatobiliary (HPB), and neuro-interventional radiology. You will have the opportunity to support and develop the skills of the team while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and high standards of care.

The role of the Practice Development Nurse is to be an expert practitioner who leads by example and who can provide leadership and organisation to the multidisciplinary team.The post holder will ensure that quality indicators for Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology are achieved and where necessary ensure effective and continuous evaluationandactions taken where appropriate. The post holder would also require to support the learning and development of staff on the Interventional Radiology Department.
They will contribute to ensuring Trust objectives are achieved and will be proactive in service development within the division.
