Hours: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP – July 2026
Hannett Hale is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well‑regarded secondary school in Barrow In Furness. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic French Teacher to deliver high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils through engaging lessons and strong subject knowledge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, forward‑thinking school community with a commitment to excellent teaching and learning.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Confidently teaching the full French curriculum, including GCSE preparation
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with the MFL department and wider staff team
This is a full‑time role starting ASAP until July 2026, with the potential for further opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4
- Proven experience preparing pupils for GCSE French
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A passion for fostering a love of languages and cultural understanding
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive daily rate: £110–£150, depending on experience
