SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Staff (Level 2+ ideally)

Location: Kent - Bexley, Maidstone, Dartford, Gravesend, Chatham, Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Tonbridge, Cambridge - and more!
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary / Permanent
Start Date: 13th April & ongoing

About the Role
We are currently supporting a number of primary and secondary schools across Kent who are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants / Support Staff (Level 2 or above) to join their teams.

These roles involve working closely with pupils who have additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and thrive within a supportive school environment.

Positions are available on both a long-term and flexible basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs and tailored learning plans
- Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and development
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals where required

Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children with SEN (school or care background considered)
- Understanding of SEN needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH or similar
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
