Electrical Day Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Office – Baker Street, London – £47,000 per annum
Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial office building near Baker Street, London. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Day Shift Engineer to work within a small on-site team, delivering high-quality maintenance across the site.
The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a team of 2 engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical, mechanical, and general building services maintenance.

Hours of Work:
- 4 on 4 off (Days Only)
- 07:00 am – 19:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Electrical maintenance including lighting, lamp changes, ballast replacements, small installations, control panels, and power distribution
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Maintain and service AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic servicing)
- Carry out chiller resets and first-line fault diagnosis
- Monitor water treatment systems (temperature checks)
- Maintain pumps, motors, and associated mechanical plant
- Carry out basic plumbing works including unblocking toilets and minor repairs
- Monitor BMS systems (hot & cold checks)
- Ensure all work is completed professionally and within required timeframes
- Proactively identify and resolve faults across building services equipment
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
- Maintain clear communication with client staff and site management
- Escort specialist subcontractors when required
Package:
- Salary: £47,000 per annum
- 20 days holiday

Requirements:
- Electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Essential)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Experience within large commercial or critical environments
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical, and building services
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Must be able to attend site for a 07:00 am start
