Location: Southfields, London
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum
Type: Full time
We are recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a well-regarded early years setting in Southfields.
This is a great opportunity for a passionate early years professional to join a nursery that places real value on creating a safe, caring and nurturing environment, while also delivering a creative curriculum that encourages confidence, exploration and learning through play. The setting also places strong emphasis on professional communication with parents and recognising each child’s individuality.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing while working as part of a friendly and supportive team. This role would suit someone who is confident in day-to-day nursery practice, enjoys building strong relationships with children and families, and wants to work in a setting with a clear child-centred ethos.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
- Create a safe, warm and stimulating environment for children
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities
- Complete observations and contribute to planning and next steps
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and best practice across the setting
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider nursery team
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous nursery experience
- Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, caring and proactive approach
- Commitment to delivering high standards of childcare and education
What’s on offer:
- £27,000 to £29,000 per annum
- Opportunity to join a nursery with a strong family-community feel praised by parents and referenced positively in its published Ofsted quote
- Supportive working environment
- Child-centred approach with a play-based curriculum
- Strong focus on communication and parent partnership
The nursery publicly describes itself as being “in the heart of Southfields” and highlights feedback that parents value the family community the nursery provides. It also shares parent feedback noting strong progress in children’s emotional development, confidence, speech and language, and says the nursery team is caring and knows the children well.
Safer recruitment checks will apply, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
