CNC Router Machinist
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £17.00ph
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:00
Overtime: Time + ½
Duration: Temp to Perm
The Role:
As a CNC Router Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality bespoke parts using CNC routing machinery. This is a hands-on manufacturing role working with a variety of materials including MDF, timber and panel-based components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC router machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and tool changes
- Conduct quality checks on finished components
- Running pre-programmed jobs and making minor adjustments where required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience setting and operating a CNC router in joinery, woodworking, or manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings and cutting diagrams
- Confident with tooling and machine set up
- Strong understanding of woodworking
- High attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
