We are looking for a kind and reliable male Personal Assistant to provide support for 1 hour over 3 mornings to assist a creative gentleman with his morning routine and getting him ready for the day.
He has Alzheimer, osteoarthritis, a lump in his prostate, stomach ulcers and sensitive skin due to the use of steroid creams, so someone who has experience with these care areas/medical experience is highly desirable.
The role includes some personal care, light exercise and general support with his morning routine to help him feel ready for the day.
He is a retired furniture designer and maker, enjoys reading, cricket and doing newspaper puzzles.

Duties include:
- Personal grooming
- Other relevant duties as required
- Companionship
- Bathroom assistance
- Help with light exercise in the morning, but mainly assist with morning routine/getting him ready for the day
Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Someone patient, warm, and dependable
- Comfortable with light personal care
- Happy to sit, chat, and engage in calm, creative activities
- A genuine interest in supporting someone to enjoy their hobbies
- Able to tolerate a pet cat.
- Experience in the conditions listed in the job description/medical experience is highly desirable

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
