Main Responsibilities: Hardware Setup & Configuration: Take responsibility for installing, configuring, and setting up new desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices for staff, ensuring systems are ready for use and aligned with Trust requirements. Basic Troubleshooting & Support: Provide first-line support by diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues, ensuring quick resolutions to minimize downtime. Stock Management: Assist in managing the hardware inventory, including tracking and maintaining adequate stock levels of equipment and peripherals, and ensuring all assets are appropriately documented and stored. System Maintenance: Perform routine updates and maintenance tasks on hardware, ensuring that devices are functioning optimally and securely, with appropriate software patches and configurations. User Assistance: Offer guidance to staff on using IT equipment, helping with setup, configuration, and resolving minor technical problems to enhance user experience and productivity. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of hardware installations, repairs, troubleshooting actions, and inventory, ensuring all information is up to date and easily accessible. Team Collaboration: Work alongside other IT support team members to assist with hardware-related projects, escalate more complex issues, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the IT department.
