About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join a welcoming college in Merseyside as a Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time, agency position starting immediately, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic goals
- Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN coordinators to implement tailored support plans
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in students
Ideal Candidate:
- A recent graduate in Psychology (or a related field)
- Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in approach
- Previous experience working with SEN (preferred but not essential)
