Duties:
- Carry out vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards
- Perform MOT tests (MOT licence desirable but not essential) and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Keep Workshop records up to date and manage job priorities effectively
- Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes
Requirements for the MOT Technician position:
- Level 3 in an automotive qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience working in a busy vehicle workshop environment
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester essential
- MOT license is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
