About the Role
As an HR and OD Business Partner, you’ll deliver a customer-focused, high-quality HR service across the University. Working closely with leaders, managers, and colleagues, you will provide expert professional HR advice on terms and conditions, policies, and procedures across the full employee lifecycle, enabling us to create an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing environment.

Qualifications:
Degree-level education or significant equivalent experience.
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Strong working knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
Experience managing employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, organisational change).
Understanding of key compliance requirements, including UKVI and DBS processes.
A track record of implementing service improvements within HR.
Our Core Behaviours
As part of our Technical Expert job family, you’ll thrive in this role if you are:
Self-aware and committed to continuous learning
Customer focused, delivering service excellence
Credible and professional, with strong personal integrity
A positive leader, inspiring confidence in others
Digitally confident, embracing new technologies to improve processes
At University of Staffordshire, we’re ambitious, innovative, and people-centred. You’ll be part of a welcoming HR & OD team who share a passion for delivering exceptional service and driving meaningful organisational development.
