Location: Field‑Based - Covering the Midlands
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

The Opportunity
A leading, globally recognised engineering solutions provider is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to join their team. This field‑based position covers the Midlands region, supporting both existing customers and new business opportunities across a premium technical product range.
You will work with high‑precision measurement and inspection technologies, backed by expert internal support and ongoing technical training. This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying customer needs, and offering high‑value solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit clients and prospective customers to understand their requirements and promote suitable products and services.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team environment.
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of metrology principles and their practical applications.
- Generate and qualify new business leads, involving specialist support where appropriate.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure opportunities are followed through and customers receive exceptional service.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercially, and close sales to achieve agreed targets.
- Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and activity data using CRM and company IT systems.
- Support product demonstrations, exhibitions, and marketing events when required.
- Work with Finance teams to resolve account or payment‑related queries.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding pricing, availability, and commercial terms.
About You
- Experience in a technical or field‑based sales role - ideally within engineering, manufacturing, measurement, or related technical industries.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn a diverse and complex product range.
- Self‑motivated and well‑organised, able to manage your own sales territory effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
