We have an exciting opportunity to join our The Royal Marsden for 18 months as a Programme Director for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).

The Programme Director will lead, and be responsible for, a Trust programme of work to develop and test a digital remote pathway for patients with breast cancer to enable the remote monitoring and delivery of medications directly to patients without them needing to attend the hospital sites. They will be responsible for all workstreams within the programme to ensure the programme is led and managed effectively and delivers on its objectives. They will report directly to the Director of Operations - Cancer Services.

You will bring experience in programme management, improvement methodologies and data analysis as well as excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. You will have matrix management responsibilities and will have a proven and credible management approach.
• Use highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams across the programme.
• Develop and identify relationships with key strategic local, regional, and national policy makers to inform development of strategy and policies and use political judgement and astuteness in understanding and working with complex policy and diverse interest groups.
• Deploy expert communication, negotiation and influencing skills to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues driving and challenging each key working relationship to innovate and achieve reform in accordance with agreed programme objectives.

• The post holder will be required to build and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues.
• Lead as the expert; integrating systems and managing effective working relationships with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Drive and challenge each key working relationship to drive reform to achieve agreed objectives
• Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, including presenting information about projects and dependencies to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in formal settings.
• Deal with complex and conflicting subject matter problems or in day-to-day workload in workshops, meetings, one on one communications and other events, comprising various parts of the business.
• Nurtures key relationships with senior and high-profile individuals and responsible for the maintenance of networks.
