About you:

You will be a collaborative, forward‑thinking professional, bringing both technical expertise and a strong commitment to public service. You’ll be confident analysing data, leading people and working in partnership with colleagues, residents and stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who brings:

A relevant degree or equivalent experience in surveying, construction, housing or asset management
Professional membership (CIH, RICS or CIOB)
Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 (or willingness to work towards)
Strong experience delivering asset management programmes, including housing retrofit
Proven skills in contract management, procurement, budget control and project delivery
Excellent understanding of building standards, legislation, Health & Safety and Decent Homes
A positive, solution‑focused approach with the resilience to support change
A strong commitment to resident involvement, equality, diversity and inclusion

You’ll also value partnership, accountability and continuous improvement — helping us to deliver services that are responsive to customer needs and represent good value for money.
A driving licence and the ability to travel to sites is required.

About the role:

We are committed to providing safe, well‑maintained and energy‑efficient homes and buildings for our residents, communities and staff. To support this commitment, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Planned Maintenance Lead to help shape and deliver our long‑term investment programmes.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the planning and delivery of our planned works and retrofit programme across housing, corporate buildings, communal areas and external environments. You will use strong data insight, sound professional judgement and a proactive approach to ensure our assets remain sustainable, compliant and aligned with our strategic priorities.

From managing stock condition data and assessing development opportunities, to procuring contractors and delivering high‑quality capital programmes, you will play an essential part in safeguarding the long‑term value of our assets and improving outcomes for our residents.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference across our communities, supporting us to deliver a modern, efficient and customer‑focused service.

About the team:

You’ll join our dedicated Asset Maintenance Service, working closely with colleagues across Reactive Repairs, Compliance, Housing, Commercial Assets and wider operational teams to deliver a joined‑up and customer‑centred service.
Our team takes pride in:

Using robust data and insight to guide investment decisions
Strengthening resident voices in the way we plan and deliver work
Providing safe, sustainable and well‑maintained homes and buildings
Supporting innovation and continuous improvement
Working together to provide responsive, reliable and high‑quality services

As the Planned Maintenance Lead, you will manage a team of along Works Surveyors & Technical Officers along with the Asset Management Lead (Development) and wider team members — helping to build a supportive, inclusive and high‑performing culture that puts residents at the heart of everything we do.
