JOB SUMMARY
Castlehill Specialist Care Centre are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to provide housekeeping in support of the home's services function to ensure a high quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Ø Helps to maintain a ‘homely’ and pleasant environment for resident’s and colleagues
Ø Plans and delivers a comprehensive cleaning schedule to ensure that the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times
Ø Assists with the induction and orientation of new members of the team
Ø Ensures that all cleaning equipment is used and stored safely
Ø Reports any defects, faults or maintenance requirements to cleaning equipment or furnishings
Ø Uses and stores cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations
Ø Carries out stock takes and orders cleaning consumables.
Ø Safe use and storage of equipment, COSHH and cleaning products, ensuring all regulations are adhered to
Ø Ensures equipment and machinery are kept in good working order and that faults are reported immediately
These duties are not exhaustive. Job holders may be asked to undertake other responsibilities, within their spheres of responsibility and competence
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ø Organisational skills
Ø Operation of cleaning equipment
Ø COSHH / Health and Safety
EXPECTED HOURS
Ø Full-Time 37.5 hours
Ø Weekend availability required
