We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehab Service. The post will involve working in the community and be based at Highlands House.

The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients with complex mental health needs to manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Support Workers.

Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
• The senior occupational therapist is an experienced occupational therapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
• To identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
• To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
• To manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
• To provide supervision to designated junior staff and students.
