A personal assistant is required to support a friendly and independent man in his mid-30s who has a visual impairment and uses a wheelchair. This is a social and practical support role, ideal for someone who enjoys good conversation, has a positive attitude, and is comfortable getting out and about.
The role involves assisting with paperwork and day-to-day planning (such as budgeting and organising appointments), as well as accompanying on social outings – including trips to the gym, visits into town, meals out, and other social activities.
Occasional support on holidays (fully funded and paid) may also be part of the role.

Hours: 10 hours per week, with potential to increase
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Location: Edinburgh
Flexibility: Working hours are flexible and agreed upon with the employer

Strong communication and organisational skills
A good level of spoken and written English
Willingness to join (or already be a member of) the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme

Main duties:
Supporting with admin and correspondence
Helping with personal planning and budgeting tasks
