JOB OVERVIEW Stoke Bishop Church of England Primary School is a single status Academy in north west Bristol. We are very proud of our school. It has a strong tradition of successful learning and achievement. Please look at our website to find out more about us.We are seeking a Clerk to the Governors to support our active and highly committed governing body to allow them to concentrate on supporting senior leaders in the development of the school. In this role you will:Provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.Provide effective and proactive administrative support to the governing body and its committees.Ensure the governing body is properly constituted.Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.You will work closely with the Chair of Governors and the Headteacher. In addition to the full governing body (FGB) meetings that meets six times a year, you will be required to the attend the Strategic Development Group (three times a year), the Finance Committee meetings (currently four times a year) and the Quality of Education Committee meetings (currently six times a year). These are usually late afternoon/early evening meetings.
