We have a wonderful opportunity for a Room Leader to join the Nina's family working at one of our 7 nursery settings.
The Role
As Nursery Room Leader, you will lead and inspire the team within one of our rooms, ensuring our home-from-home ethos shines through every interaction and activity. You’ll take responsibility for creating a safe, comforting, stimulating environment where children can learn and flourish and where staff feel supported, encouraged, and part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and motivate your room team to deliver high-quality, nurturing care.
Create a warm, homely, secure atmosphere that reflects our "home-from-home" ethos.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS.
Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding at all times following nursery policies, reporting concerns, and maintaining a vigilant, child-centered approach.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment; follow health & safety and risk assessments.
Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain accurate learning journals.
Build strong, trusting partnerships with parents and carers.
Mentor and supervise staff, apprentices, and students.
Promote inclusive practice and adapt provision to meet individual children’s needs.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the room and nursery.
Person Specification
Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
Previous nursery experience; room leadership desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
Warm, nurturing, positive approach with excellent communication skills.
Organised, proactive and confident in supporting/leading a team.
