TEAM LEADER – ENGINE ROOM BAR & KITCHEN

We’re looking for a passionate, hands‑on Team Leader to join the hospitality team at The Engine Room Bar & Kitchen, located within
Ocean Exmouth. With beachside views, live sport on Sky and TNT, and a buzzing atmosphere, The Engine Room is a destination for
great food, drinks and unforgettable experiences and you could be at the heart of it.
As Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the venue, supporting busy services and leading the
front‑of‑house team to deliver excellent customer experiences. You’ll be a visible and confident presence on shift, motivating the
team, resolving issues professionally and ensuring the venue is always welcoming, safe and customer‑ready. You’ll also support
training, onboarding and shift coordination, while helping drive sales through great service and product knowledge.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in hospitality or customer service who enjoys leading by example. You’ll be
organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility during shifts. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are
essential, along with a good understanding of health, safety and food hygiene standards. Supervisory experience, EPOS knowledge,
and Level 2 Food Hygiene or First Aid qualifications are beneficial, but not essential. We’re especially keen to hear from those
who are ambitious and looking to develop into future management roles.
You’ll need flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
