Hours: 29.25 per week, 3 shifts
Salary: £12.76 per hour
Shifts: 8am-6:30pm
We’re looking for friendly and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team at Manor Park Care Home, in the picturesque town of Malton.
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring residents enjoy nutritious, well-presented meals in a clean and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities.
Assist with meal preparation and food service throughout the day
Support residents during mealtimes, including serving food and drinks
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
Follow food safety and infection control procedures
Help with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Work collaboratively with care and kitchen staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
Provide a friendly and respectful service, promoting dignity and choice
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable
A positive, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (training provided)
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including alternate weekends
Kindness, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting older people
