Due to upcoming retirements within our administration team, we are looking to recruit two motivated and organised medical administratorsto join our friendly and supportive GP practice team. Hours: Mon - Thurs 9am - 5.30pm, Fri 9am - 5pm

We are a busy and friendly GP practice in Campbeltown, Argyll with approx 6100 patients. We have a team of 9 GP’s supported by very dedicated nursing and admin teams.
This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent organisation, communication and IT skills. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in an administrative role or be able to demonstrate they have the relevant skills for the role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming
    manner
  • Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Signposting patients to the most appropriate service
  • Booking and managing patient appointments
  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Scanning and workflowing incoming correspondence to clinical
    team
  • Result handling
  • Handling and managing patient enquiries of a complex nature
  • Managing patient records and maintaining accurate information
    on clinical systems
  • Liaising with clinicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers
  • Processing patient referrals (audio typing) via digital dictation
    software
  • Carrying out general administrative duties to support the
    practice team.
