Would you like to work somewhere dedicated to Early Years education with care? Somewhere committed to your professional development? Guildford Nursery School is looking for a qualified Key Person to start working with us as soon as possible or from 1st September 2026.
Our large Maintained Nursery School is based on two sites, both with wonderful outdoor learning and play spaces. This post will be based at our Hazel Avenue site.
The post is full-time and permanent (36 hours weekly term time only). We will consider applicants wishing to work part-time.
Visits and/or phone calls to the nursery school are strongly advised for all serious candidates. To make an appointment please call the headteacher, Sally Cave.
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a full and relevant level 5 or 6 Early Years qualification.
• Is positive, flexible, responsible and with a passion for Early Years Education
• Is interested in Froebelian principles and pedagogy
• Is a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Is able to work in partnership with parents and carers to provide high quality education with care in our nursery school
• Is able to provide a rich, inclusive, safe yet challenging environment and curriculum to meet each of our children’s unique interests and needs.

• Psychometric assessments and a meeting with our Occupational Psychologist
• Observation in nursery
• Panel interview
Salary:
PS6 £26,365 pa pro rata
PS6 range £30,647 - £32,867 FTE pro rata
