Crynodeb
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our construction team. As a Banker Mason you will be required to cut and shape stonework with a range of hand and power tools, working from templates, to give it a textured or polished finish (dressing), in accordance with design plans. You may also be involved in carving figures, lettering, or pattern work.
You will have the opportunity to use your skills and knowledge within the role with a clear emphasis on safety; quality; and productivity.
Responsibilities
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment efficiently and safely
Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials with precision to ensure proper fit and finish
Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards
Requirements
Experience in stonemasonry
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to masonry work
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Physical fitness to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Valid relevant qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
