Crynodeb
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a fixed term (12 months) Locally Employed Doctor (LED) in Oncology which offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad and meaningful experience within the specialty. It provides an opportunity to participate in the management of patients with cancer, with systemic therapy, Radiotherapy and clinical trials. It is designed not only to support service delivery but also to provide a strong foundation for personal and professional development in Oncology. The successful candidate will work closely with Oncology registrars and under the supervision of named Consultant Oncologists, developing confidence and competence in the care of cancer patients. The role will include participation in outpatient clinics, contribution to the Oncology oncall rota (including outofhours work), and involvement in audit, quality improvement, teaching, and training activities. Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.
