Crynodeb
Ensure practice is in accordance with the NMC code of Professional conduct and work within limits of competence. To maintain high standards of care by personal example and conduct and be a credible practitioner in the area. Have overall responsibility for the ward area Participate in the daily personal care of patients. To be responsible for Ward/Department nursing staff and to provide a quality and cost effective service in accordance with Trust policy and procedures. To develop a positive team culture and manage recruitment and retention of the workforce. To demonstrate and promote professional, clinical and managerial leadership acting as a resource and providing guidance to own staff. To ensure effective liaison and professional relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary teams To work with others in developing and implementing strategies to obtain the views of patients and carers and ensure their views are incorporated into proposed service developments In conjunction with the Senior Nurse/Service Manager/Operational Manager contribute to all service developments in relation to National and Local Plans and Modernisation agendas.
