Brightwork are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their finance team based in Carryduff. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role in managing cashflow and maintaining strong customer accounts within a growing organisation.
The Role
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of payments, accurate allocation of cash, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively manage and chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written communication
• Reduce aged debt and improve cash collection performance (DSO)
• Set up and manage customer accounts, including credit checks and credit limits
• Process daily cash receipts and accurately allocate payments
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Raise and process credit notes where required
• Produce aged debtor reports for management
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoice queries and disputes
• Provide statements and respond to customer account queries
• Support the wider finance team with administrative duties
About You
• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable (2+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of payment allocation, reconciliations, and ledger management
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and manage queries effectively
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Good IT skills, particularly Excel; experience with Sage or similar systems is advantageous
• Able to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload
