You are an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to play a role in creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. You will be grinding all non-re-usable materials from Blow moulding, Injection, Decoration and Tubes departments.
Shift pattens: Double days (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm), Monday to Friday.
Key Job Accountabilities
As part of the Recycling Operative role you will responsible for….
• Grinding materials.
• Ensure stocks are updated as materials are ground ready for recycling.
• Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
• Moving around pallets of materials by fork lift / hand barrow as required.
• Comply with quality standards as set by the Company.
• Ensure work area is clean, tidy and safe both during and at the end of the shift
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health and safety, quality and environment management.
• Provide cover when required for double days operatives as and when required.
• Any other reasonable tasks requested by management.
The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed. Such variations are a common occurrence and would not themselves justify the re-evaluation of the post
Qualifications/Requirements
• Forklift licence, or the ability to obtain one
• Plans and organises own work, ensuring a high level of accuracy in all work undertaken.
• The ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company
• The ability to work on one’s own initiative to achieve objectives and taking accountability for work/actions undertaken
• Highly driven, ensuring that the job is done well and recognising the importance of customer satisfaction in their work.
• Is able to work effectively with others as part of a team to achieve team objectives
