Desian Education are proud to be supporting an SEN secondary school in Winsford that is at the heart of its local community as they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated teaching assistant for a long-term full-time contract. This role will commence from 20/04/2026 and will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
This extremely supportive and welcoming school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant for a full-time temporary contact, lasting until the end of the academic year subject to funding. This is an extremely academic and inclusive SEN secondary schools, with all pupils having individual EHCP’s, working at capacity and taking their GCSE’s. You will support across KS3 and KS4 by:
- Delivering targeted interventions in required attainment areas
- Supporting with GCSE preparation
- General classroom and behaviour management
- Assisting with vocational learning
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 national curriculums
- A minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract, consisting of 32.5 hours per week
