Summary

Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities; Riverside Leisure Centre, Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre, Dovedale Leisure Centre and South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre.

The successful applicant will work alongside our team of gym instructors delivering the high level of customer service our users expect whilst conducting inductions and assessments and supporting our members to achieve their fitness goals. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and a high level of enthusiasm. A Gym Instructor Level 2 qualification is essential. In addition, it is desirable to hold Group Exercise Class qualifications. Duties will include personal fitness programmes, fitness assessments, retention and the day-to-day operations of the gym floor.

The position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of the leisure centres, from 5.45am to 10.00pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
