Summary

Riverside Leisure Centre is Chelmsford City Council’s flagship leisure facility, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. Every member of staff plays their role, working within a fast-paced environment. If you are interested in working in a leisure environment and are passionate about delivering the best customer service, then we have the job for you.

We’re looking for a committed, customer focused individual to join our vibrant team in the pools complex. If you’re a confident communicator with excellent people skills and hold the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, we’d love to hear from you.

The post holder will play a key part in keeping our swimmers safe, supporting the smooth running of the Centre, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment throughout the pools complex. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to our community while working as part of a supportive team.

This position is offered on a part-time basis, working 35 hours a week on a shift basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 5.15am to 11pm, including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is a must.

Please note should sufficient applications be received prior to the closing date, we may close the role for applications early.

Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services. The Council's Safer Recruitment process contains pre-employment checks which includes safeguarding training, obtaining references and ensuring compliance with Disclosure and Barring Service process.
