This role is open to all applicants. However in line with Cornwall first principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

To play a key supportive role in the trust’s annual business planning process, and the development of strategic projects and business cases working with, and, as directed by the Head of Strategic Development and Strategic Programme Lead.

Work in support of and with the Head of Strategic Development to assist and facilitate annual business planning for the trust, including:

ensure own understanding, and up to date knowledge of planning guidance from NHS England, to ensure accurate advice and up to date information to managers, to support them to interpret relevance to their services, and take the right actions to meet any relevant requirements,

under the direction of the Head of Strategic Planning, will work with senior colleagues across the system to facilitate the necessary input to system-level plans, supporting triangulation across plans,

coordinating and facilitating workshops with colleagues across the trust to inform detailed planning for specialties and care groups,



Play a key contributory role in facilitating annual and multi-year planning across specialties, divisions and the Trust, working closely with and in support of the Head of Strategic Development.

Monitor national guidance to be able to provide up to date advice to senior colleagues in support of managers’ meeting all relevant requirements and including all relevant information in annual planning processes.

Work closely with colleagues across the system in the development of system plans, as our Integrated Care System matures and system planning becomes an increasingly central part of what we do.

Develop analysis and supporting information to assist managers’ planning discussions across the Trust.

Coordinate and facilitate workshops at care group and specialty level, to help operational and clinical colleagues think through and articulate their plans.

Support care groups and specialties to draft their plans and help them to ensure consistency and completeness.

Contribute to drafting key planning documents at Trust level, such as RCHT’s Annual Plan.
