About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support secondary school students across Liverpool. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support-both 1:1 and in small groups-helping students access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to students with a range of SEN needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties).
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
- Adapt learning materials under teacher guidance to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff and contribute to EHCP-related support.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting SEN students in a school or similar setting (essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for full-time, part-time, or flexible supply work.
- (Desirable) Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or experience in youth work or care.
