Our client, a respected educational institution in Bolton, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

As a Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the individualised attention and support they require to thrive.
- Providing one-to-one or small-group support to students with SEND, as directed by the class teacher or SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
- Assisting students with a range of activities, including completing assignments, participating in lessons, and developing essential life skills.
- Collaborating with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of students with SEND.
- Maintaining detailed records of student progress and communicating regularly with parents/carers and other professionals.
- Attending and contributing to SEND meetings, reviews, and training sessions to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest best practices and developments in the field.
- Demonstrating a caring, patient, and empathetic approach when working with students with SEND, and promoting their independence, self-confidence, and overall well-being.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on supporting students with SEND.
- A relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, and a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in training opportunities.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is essential for this role.

Our client offers a competitive salary of £82.50 - £150 per day, depending on your qualifications and experience. This is a part-time position, with the exact number of hours to be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process.
