Located in a picturesque setting on the banks of Loch Tay, near Killin, Firbush Outdoor Centre is the University’s home of outdoor activities and adventure pursuits. With a main house encompassing a fully catered 32 bed residential lodge, as well as several small self-catered accommodation pods, Firbush is renowned for the uniquely inclusive and memorable experiences for all who visit.

Sport & Exercise is seeking a passionate seasonal Instructor to join the Firbush team. You will understand the importance of team culture and contribution. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communications skills and possess a high level of energy with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.



The Opportunity:

Working a rotating shift pattern across 7 days, under the supervision of the Senior Instructor. You will support the instruction and delivery of outdoor activities to the many visitors and guests that enjoy Firbush and its surroundings – providing a fun, safe, inclusive and quality outdoor experience.



Your skills and attributes for success:

Experience in instructing outdoor activities.
First Aid specific to relevant qualifications.
At least 2 qualifications from the following areas - RYA Dinghy Instructor // RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor // British Canoeing UKCC Level 1 // Paddle sport Instructor (or equivalent) // British Canoeing Paddle sport Leader (or equivalent) // Mountain Leader (Summer) // British Cycling Level 2 MTB // Trail Cycle Leader.
Detailed understanding of H&S regulations and local guidelines.
Developed diplomacy and customer care abilities with good communication skills.
