Trust-wide lead for patient flow and bed capacity across emergency and elective pathways, ensuring safe admissions, escalation of pressures, and minimal cancellations. Led cross-directorate operational responses, including ambulance diverts, business continuity, and system escalation in line with trust policies. Provided visible clinical leadership out of hours, supporting nursing teams, managing emergencies, and making autonomous clinical and operational decisions. Authorised and coordinated bank and agency staffing (with senior approval), ensuring safe staffing levels and effective use of resources. Maintained advanced clinical competencies and ensured compliance with governance, IPC, health & safety, and the NMC Code of Conduct.
