About this Role

Wellspring Academy Trust is looking for a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is an important role where you’ll help ensure our schools remain clean, safe and welcoming places for children, staff and visitors.

Location:

The advert will show a location of Beacon Academy, Chatsworth Place, Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, DN35 9NF, however, the role is based at Horncastle Primary Academy Lincolnshire.

We currently have a role working 20 hours per week, 43 weeks per year based at Horncastle Bowl Alley Lane, Horncastle, LN9 5EH

Successful applicants will work as part of a team to ensure a high level of customer service, and adhere to procedures such as; health and safety, COSHH and risk assessments.
About the Role
As a Cleaner, you will carry out a full range of cleaning duties across teaching spaces, offices and communal areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing)

Cleaning internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities

Emptying bins and removing waste safely

Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling

Replenishing hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls)

Conducting routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance

Reporting damage, faults or concerns promptly

Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security

Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times

We are seeking someone who:

Can work independently and as part of a team

Has an awareness of health and safety practices

Is able to carry out physical tasks including lifting and climbing

Follows instructions carefully and works to high standards

Demonstrates integrity and professionalism

Is flexible and willing to undertake relevant training

Is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion

Has previous cleaning experience (desirable, not essential — full training provided)

No formal qualifications are required — we value attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.
