Location: Jubilee School, Waterlooville PO7 7RE
Hours: 40 per week | Monday to Friday | Part Time Hours Considered
Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role

As the Careers & Enterprise Lead, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for future education, training and employment. You will design and deliver a high‑quality careers programme that meets statutory requirements, aligns with all eight Gatsby Benchmarks, and provides pupils with meaningful opportunities to explore future pathways. Through strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, families and external providers, you will help ensure every young person receives the guidance, support and experiences needed to make informed, ambitious decisions about their next steps.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a whole‑school careers strategy aligned to the Gatsby Benchmarks
Deliver careers education for pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4
Collect and present evidence of careers impact to external bodies when required
Arrange, coordinate and monitor meaningful work experience placements for KS4 pupils
Carry out risk assessments and health & safety checks for all work placement providers
Encourage and support pupils’ personal development, achievement and engagement in school life
Support pupils attending college or alternative provisions
Contribute to out‑of‑classroom activities as part of a broad curriculum
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Participate in meetings focused on pupil welfare, progress and future pathways
Attend departmental and whole‑school staff meetings
Undertake any other reasonable duties directed by the Head of Education
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

PgCert Ed or equivalent qualification
Experience working with pupils with SEN
Strong understanding of the barriers that may impact access to education, training or employment
Experience within a school or similar educational setting (desirable)
