Job Title: Primary School Teacher (Maths Lead)
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Primary School Teacher to take on the role of Maths Lead within our school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong background in mathematics to drive high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
You will be supported by an exceptionally approachable and encouraging Head Teacher who is committed to staff wellbeing, professional development, and empowering leaders at all levels. The leadership team fosters a collaborative environment where new ideas are welcomed and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the teaching of mathematics across the school
•
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
•
Support, mentor, and guide colleagues to improve maths teaching practice
•
Monitor pupil progress and implement strategies to raise attainment in maths
•
Contribute to whole-school improvement planning as part of the leadership team
•
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment with strong behaviour management
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•
Excellent subject knowledge in mathematics – a true maths specialist
•
Proven experience teaching within KS2
•
Strong understanding of maths programmes and effective teaching strategies
•
Previous experience as a Maths Lead (highly desirable)
•
Excellent behaviour management skills
•
Confidence in leading, managing, and supporting other staff
•
A proactive, organised, and forward-thinking approach
•
A passion for improving outcomes in mathematics across the school
