Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Experience: Provide exceptional, high-energy service to guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Beverage Preparation: Expertly craft a wide range of cocktails, pour beers, and serve wines according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Order Management: Accurately take drink and food orders, utilizing Point of Sale (POS) systems for efficient processing and payment.
Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area remains clean, organized, and stocked. This includes washing glassware, polishing surfaces, and replenishing garnishes or ice.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and assist with the receipt and organization of liquor, beer, and wine deliveries.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all alcohol service laws, including verifying legal drinking age and identifying/managing signs of intoxication to ensure guest safety.
Technical Skill: Demonstrate proficiency in various bartending techniques, such as shaking, stirring, muddling, and free-pouring.
Collaboration: Work seamlessly with servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide a cohesive and holistic guest experience.
Financial Accountability: Maintain accurate cash drawers and process credit card transactions with precision and integrity.
Opening/Closing Procedures: Execute daily setup and breakdown tasks, including deep cleaning equipment and securing the premises.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of high-volume bartending experience required.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude under pressure.
Mixology Knowledge: Advanced understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, craft beers, and wine pairings.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move items weighing up to 50 lbs (e.g., beer kegs or cases).
Certification: Valid alcohol server certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe, or local equivalent) is mandatory.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
