What skills and experience we're looking for

The Priory Witham Academy is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Head of Maths to join a school that makes a genuine difference to its students and supports its staff to achieve their individual goals. The Priory Witham Academy is an ‘all through’ (EYFS – 18) Academy in Lincoln that is central to the community it serves. Our dedicated team of staff are supportive and aspirant and in return benefit from a high trust, high accountability environment where our ‘open door’ policy values and celebrates the inputs of individuals to create our Academy vision.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic Head of Maths from September 2026.The successful applicant will be an excellent practitioner who will ensure the continued high standards of teaching and learning from KS2 transition to KS3, KS4 and KS5. They will have a strong understanding of the curriculum and be able to evidence impact through improving outcomes for pupils and increasing levels of extra-curricular and enrichment engagement.

The successful applicant will believe in building strong relationships with staff and pupils and have the ability to motivate people to work towards a clear vision for the department. They will have the ability to develop others’ practice through successful modelling, mentoring and provision of appropriate CPD. This should be all underpinned by a clear commitment to the positive ethos of the Academy.
