What skills and experience we're looking for
Woodthorpe Primary School is seeking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Playworker to join our experienced and hardworking team, in supervising and creating play opportunities for our children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality care and provision for the children who attend the After School Club, making the school’s provision a warm, fun and supportive place to be. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils, delivering engaging activities under the guidance and support of the Wraparound Care Manager.
You should have experience of working with children or young people in a play work or educational setting, delivering engaging activities for pupils, and you will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy. Qualifications in food hygiene and first aid are desirable, but training will be provided if you do not already hold these.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
