What skills and experience we're looking for
Supervise children and prepare creative and appropriate play opportunities for them.
Ensure play materials and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
Assist children with personal care needs where appropriate and support children when eating breakfast or snack.
Assist in ensuring the safety of children during fire drills, emergencies or incidents and administer first aid if qualified.
Ensure the play area is cleaned and tidied at the end of each session.
Record and report safeguarding concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
Ensure the safe arrival and departure of children attending the club.
Promote positive attitudes and work as part of a team to support the smooth running of the club.
Encourage children to participate in a range of fun, creative and active play opportunities indoors and outdoors.
Deal with immediate difficulties or report any difficulties unable to overcome to a more senior colleague.
Help create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.

We are opening up school wraparound care and we are also advertising for Breakfast Club playworkers. These roles can be combined. Please indicate on your application form if we would like to combine the roles.This role is term time only.
