Activities Co ordinator required to deliver engaging, meaningful and person centred activities within a dementia residential care home environment. This role focuses on enhancing residents’ wellbeing, promoting social interaction and supporting independence through a varied and stimulating activity programme.
You will plan and deliver weekly activities based on individual interests and life histories, including group sessions, one to one engagement and community involvement. The role includes organising events, encouraging participation from families and staff, and supporting residents who may be unable to engage in traditional group activities.
You will work closely with the Home Manager and care team to ensure activities are aligned with care plans, contributing to a homely, positive and inclusive environment. Accurate record keeping, ongoing assessment of residents’ needs and maintaining a visible, proactive presence across the home are key aspects of the role.
This position suits someone creative, organised and compassionate, with experience supporting older people and a genuine passion for improving quality of life.
