Location: Soho, London

Hours: 0-Hour contract, with an expectation of ~40 hours per week (4 shifts spread across 7 days, including weekends)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.

Salary: £12.71 basic per hour + service charge (rising to £13.21 in the new tax year), averaging £17–18 per hour before tips. All card and cash tips go directly to staff.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As a Server, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering high-quality service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
• Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively
• Process payments accurately using basic math skills for cash handling
• Assist in training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices in serving and guest services

Experience:

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest interaction and satisfaction
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
