Monday to Friday working 08:00 - 17:00.
Due to expansion my client an established manufacturing business within Injection Moulding are looking for a Trainee Engineer to join their team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Engineer who has completed a T Level / NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and is eager to begin a long-term career in manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity and the successful candidate will be supported through a formal Engineering Apprenticeship via day release at college, whilst gaining hands-on experience and developing technical knowledge and professional skills.
The Role
- Working on reactive and planned maintenance on injection moulding machines.
- Site maintenance across the two sites in Corby
- Assisting in the tool room when required
- Support production teams to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met
- Learn about tooling, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
- Maintain accurate records and follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Opportunity for some overseas travel to the company overseas factories
What we are looking for
- T Level qualification in Engineering (or equivalent recent qualification)
- Strong interest in manufacturing and engineering processes
- Willingness to learn and develop through an apprenticeship programme
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
