Crynodeb
The Occupational Therapy Service Manager post holder will be a key member of the Care Group F's Senior Leadership Team and will be accountable for the delivery of the care groups performance, financial, quality, safety, risk and patient experience performance. The post holder will be integral in both shaping and delivering the Care Group's strategy in conjunction with the Trust's overall strategies and objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will:
• Work alongside the Therapies senior leadership team and be responsible and accountable for providing
comprehensive and robust professional leadership, guidance, advice, support and direction to the Occupational
Therapy profession across their Care Group and the Trust, to ensure that patients are managed and cared for efficiently and effectively.
• Function at a senior level within the leadership team, proactively leading and providing solutions to resolve complex operational issues, in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards and resource constraints.

Overview of Essential Responsibilities
Operational Management & Service Planning
1. To be accountable for the operational management of the Occupational Therapy Service, balancing priorities and demands within available financial, staffing, and other resources; ensuring that these remain service led.
2. To be accountable for the planning, development, coordination, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services in line with the Trust Strategy.
a. To be responsible for transformational workforce review and programme ensuring that the workforce within the service meets the needs of the patients/demands within resources available.
b. To support the Associate Therapies Director, Senior Operations Manager and Associate Operations Director to immerse the Occupational Therapy Service in the business of the Care Group so that the service is designed to support effective patient care and flow across the Trust.
3. To work closely with the other Therapy Services Managers in developing a collaborative model of Therapy provision
4. To lead on the development of profession specific business cases and service level agreements (SLA) and contracts for services provided within and outside the Trust by Occupational Therapy Staff.

Be part of the Leadership team in the implementation of patient centred clinical operational strategy and plans, ensuring that systems and processes are in place to comply with relevant legislation and governance requirements, linking with external bodies such as commissioners about service developments, contracts and clinical care pathways whilst utilising the expertise and skills of the wider leadership and corporate teams. This includes accountability for the delivery of those clinical and clinical technical services within their area.
