Security Officer
Hourly Rate: £13.31ph
Hours: 30-40 hours per week consisting of shift patterns TBC, however early starts required - 0300am-12pm
Location: Christchurch
Temporary - Starting 23 rd April - October
Tru Talent are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK airport, who are seeking a number of Security Officers to join their team on a seasonal basis to support during a busy period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring safety and security remain the top priority.
Key Responsibilities of the Security Officer:
• Carrying out passenger and baggage screening in line with airport security procedures
• Monitoring access points and controlling entry to restricted areas
• Conducting searches of passengers, staff and vehicles when required
• Performing regular patrols across the airport site to ensure safety and compliance
• Responding to security incidents and escalating where necessary
• Providing a high level of customer service to passengers and visitors
• Assisting passengers with directions, information, and additional support when needed
• Ensuring all security protocols and health & safety regulations are strictly followed
• Working closely with airport staff and emergency services when required
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any suspicious activity
Skills and Experience required for the Security Officer:
• Previous experience within a security role is beneficial
• Backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, warehouse or maintenance will be considered
• Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional approach
• Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude
• Ability to follow strict health and safety procedures
Due to the location, candidates must have their own transport. On-site parking is available.
