Crynodeb
The post holder will work as a member of the Cardiology Service, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality and effective cardiac service by supporting the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cardiovascular conditions. The post holder will work across acute Trust settings as a Nurse specialist within their clinical field to deliver specialist cardiac services to a defined patient group. They will work strategically to support the development of the cardiology service in line with national and local targets, while providing specialist education, advice, and training to other healthcare professionals and staff working within relevant services. The post holder will besupporting the assessment, treatment initiation, monitoring, and ongoing management of patients with cardiac conditions. This may include patients with conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, ischaemic heart disease, or other cardiovascular disorders. As part of the cardiology team, the post holder will contribute to patient education, optimisation of medical therapy, follow-up care, and coordination of care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive safe, evidence-based care in accordance with local and national cardiology guidelines.
