Qualifications required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or working towards it.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead up to 3 solo Children’s Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Initially, you will manage one solo home, with the potential to oversee a second and third within six months. Each home supports one child with a dedicated staff team of six, providing 2:1 staffing daily.
You will be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual and have the opportunity to shape and model your home using therapeutic approaches such as PACE. You may bring your own team or assist in recruiting a new one.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a Solo Children’s Home.
• Ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with OFSTED regulations.
• Promote a therapeutic environment using approaches such as PACE.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Prepare for and lead OFSTED inspections, ensuring homes meet or exceed expectations.
• Participate in on-call duties and respond flexibly to the needs of the service.
Skills
Essential Experience
• Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding OFSTED ratings.
• Experience in fit person interviews and holding OFSTED registration.
• Strong knowledge of the Children’s Act, OFSTED regulations, safeguarding, compliance, Reg 44 processes, and therapeutic practices.
